The end of a week. A long week.

A time where I found myself with a hundred things swirling around in my brain, all vying for the top spot, where I might, if they are lucky, focus on them for two minutes instead of twenty seconds.

Good things, sad things, exciting things, scary things. So many things.

I can almost hear the wind in my brain, each thing flapping around, like leaves that swirl around during a fall day, or maybe a swinging door that flaps back and forth, back and forth.

I know better than to try to make sense of these things in this moment.  I do.

Although let’s be honest…. I am impatient. I like action. I like planning. I like doing.  I want so desperately to put it all together, to make sense of it all.

So instead…I remember.

A place to start.

One is as good as any.

Just one.
